An-ticipation

Starting off with the list of movies I am looking forward to next year. I would start with favorite movies of 2009, but there are two coming out this month that might make the list and I don't want to have to rethink or change any of these.

Machete April 16th

Looks like I will be doing a double feature at the theatre on April 16th. I’ll be honest, I would rather see Thanksgiving or Don’t as full feature length movies before Machete, but since I don’t have any control over Eli Roth (yet, hehe) or Edgar Wright and can’t force them to make them, then I will get all reved up to see this. I loved Grindhouse, still pissed it wasn’t given the chance it should have. So to see something come from Grindhouse I will back it whole heartedly. Not trying to dog the trailer either, it was fucking bad ass. Total Robert Rodriguez. It should be fun times to get to see a grindhouse style movie again.

Piranha 3D April 16th

I will admit, I wasn’t that excited for this remake. Tacking on 3D to anything outside of a animated movie, it will most likely be shit (Jaws 3D? Why you trying fuck Otown like that by saying there is a pipe that goes from the coast TO THE MIDDLE OF THE FUCKING STATE and say that is how a great white shark got into Sea World?) but, when I saw Alexandre Aja as the director, I pushed aside my resintment for it being 3D. The man is talented when it comes to horrow. And even though this is a remake, it’s an odd, yet interesting scenario. So, sign me up. Plus, I want to see the rebirth of Elizabeth Shue (not playing herself) and did I mention RICHARD DRYFUSS is in it!

Extra fun times to be had since imdb is saying that boo boo kitty fuck aka Eli Roth has a cameo as a wet t-shirt contest judge/DJ.

Due Date November 5th

I had no clue Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galafianakis were going to be in the same movie together. That fact alone, I can’t wait to see the movie. Even if the plot sounds stupid (Galafianakis is playing a college slacker, he’s like 30, oh take take that back, he’s 40) I still want to see it. RDJ and what I am sure everyone will be refering him to as, that guy from Between Two Ferns, could pull it off. Not to mention the director also did The Hangover, Old School, and Starsky & Hutch.

Nightmare on Elm St. April 30th

I’m usually the first to complain about a remake, but this one I approve of. Not because the original is bad or anything, but I just can’t wait to see what they do with such an iconic character. I love horror movies, so to get to see someone like Freddy given a new life, it makes me tickled pink. I know that there are plenty of die hard fans who would disagree but after the last couple remakes and Freddy v. Jason (which didn’t really do so well, though I liked it), maybe this reboot will work in favor of the series.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part 1 November 19th

I never read the books. I’m not an uber fan of the movies either. But the producers of this franchise know how to turn a succesful book series into a pretty fantastic movie series. I know people bitch about shit getting left out, blah blah blah. No one wants to see and fucking four hour movie. Now I could do this whole comparison of how well the script is written, how great the actors are, the effects are above par, and list a bunch of other descriptions with postive words tacked on to make me seem like I know what I’m talking about, and then dog on another series (that for some reason I do enjoy too) for the shitty effects, retarded lead who blinks to fucking much, editing that is as sloppy as Sean Avery’s seconds, and a script that would still loose out to an essay written by Hellen Keller about the platypus. But I won’t do that. And I appologize for that run on sentence.

Needless to say, I can’t wait for this to come out.

The Green Hornet December 22nd

Never watched the original show, and I don’t read comic books. But I love me some Seth Rogen and fucking Cristoph Waltz is going to be in it! Sure, it could have been in the “eh, I’ll go see it” category, except I’m just on the tad excited side.

MacGruber April 23rd

It’s fucking MacGruber! Who wouldn’t be excited for this?

Honorable Mention:
Shutter Island, Alice in Wonderland, Remember Me, Clash of the Titans, The A-Team, Toy Story 3, Eclipse, Unstoppable, & Tron

I want to add A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas and Scott Pilgrim on here too, but they don’t have a release date yet. But watch, I post this and tomorrow we start getting dates for this shit.

I Am Dissapoint:

Every year, there are movies that dissapoint. Well, I already have a list of movies that will be released in 2010, that sure you could pay me to see, but when your not looking, I’ll hop into the next theatre or burn my eyes out after having to watch even a smidge of one of these movies. That sounds mean. Let’s just say, when I saw these I said “What the fuck?” or “FUCK THAT SHIT!”

The Tooth Fairy - January 22nd

A hockey movie about a guy (the Rock) who turns into the tooth fairy? Come the fuck on! Why do you have to make hockey look bad? The sport gets shit from people any way, now Disney has to make this and make hockey look even worse? Fuck that shit.

Step Up 3D - August 6th

Remember how I said tacking on 3D to a movie (outside of animated flicks) basically is giant sign for people who actually enjoy movies that it is going to be shitastic. Well, lets throw it on there to an over used genre of dance flicks, because no one has really gotten tired of seeing the under achieving, “bad ass” trying to make things right while learning valuable lessons along the way character. What the fuck?

Saw VII

I will tell everyone to go see this movie, not because I love horror movies, but because the owner of the Lightning is also a producer of this drawn out franchise. That means, if the movie makes money, he can continue to own the team. I don’t want to see the Lightning sold, go see the movie even though the seires should have ended after the 4th movie. Some might say 3rd, others, 2nd, but the 4th movie had Donnie Whalberg back again, so I say 4th.

Walter the Farting Dog

WHAT THE FUCK?! Starring the Jonas Brothers SERIOUSLY?! I think that about sums up what I thought when I found out about this Disney gem. I’m only assuming it’s Disney, because don’t they like own the Jonas Brothers or something? I don’t know, but it’ll make millions. Which is beyond my comprehension. Or maybe it’s not. Maybe it’s the people who signed off on this idea who have lost the will to form a complete thought.

I would suggest finding out when Walter the Farting Dog comes out too. That way you can avoid going to the movies that day, thus avoiding one of many out comes: suicide, the shrill screams of tweens, mass murder of said tweens, your own death heaven forbid the movie shouldn’t start on time, a stampede of wildebeests, Romulans attacking, or any other oturageous outcomes that could occur.

Where is my mind?

The year and decade are coming to an end I'm thinking of those fun lists to tell you favorites and such. Obviously this year is going to be a little different, I'll have my year end list, but I'm considering taking the time out to really sit down and think about the enitre decade. Not sure I will get it done but it's an idea.

Ain't No Body Gonna Hold Me Down...

Ain't no body gonna breaka my stride. I need to keep this in mind since I am in so much pain right now. And it's not even pain really, it's how sore I am from practicing. I've never been this sore. I came home from class today and I felt the pain in my ribs. No matter how hard it is for me to get up and sit down, I'm not going to give this up. I am really determined to get past the pain and do well in practice. I'm going to buy my own skates this afternoon. Not me per say, but my mom is giving me an early Christmas present and buying the skates for me. At least now I will be able to go outside and practice on my own.

I sucked so bad at practice last night. I was still unbelievably sore from the first night of practice, which can I say, for as out of shape as I am, I practiced for the whole two hours. I was really surprised, but proud. Last night though, not as great of a feeling. I took eight Advil in between Monday night and last night, still sore as hell. We started doing our falls, and I had the hardest time getting back up from them. The minute I went down, my legs were like "fuck you bitch, we like it down here! And we's gonna stay down here and make you look like a rah tard." But I pushed through it. At least the vets are understanding about the whole thing. I'll get better too. I need to work on my quads, so going to the gym for a bit might work. Start getting back into lifting weights to build up the muscle. I need to do something though, I will not let this get me down.

On a more happy note, tonight I am going to see Tim Gunn in Tampa. He is speaking at USF and part of my writing class that I am taking, we have to cover school events (for any of the schools in the area, since SPC doesn't really offer much in the events calendar) and this is one of our options. Figured it would be fun to get to see him speak, but the one thing we are all trying to figure out is what he is going to be talking about? I don't know, but once we are there, and I get my story written (which is due by midnight) I'll probably post it on here too.

Now despite how lame this post is, I bring you this little gem that made me giggle.

Oh Hai!

This is awkward. Been how long since I have been on here? Wow, that long! Huh, sorry. I've gotten kind of caught up this new thing. Tumblr. What's Tumblr? I'm not 100% on what exactly it is, but when I try to explain it, I say it's like Twitter, but without the 140 character limit and you can post anything. It's kind of fun and you end up finding some pretty neat and interesting people! And because of Tumblr I've started another website!

It's a little different from any site I've made before. In the past I've been more inclined to do something personal, me opening up, is not that hard. I like talking, as long as the talk is interesting.

But no, I didn't not make one of those sites. No, instead I created more of a fan site. What is this magical site I speak of? Did you see the movie Inglourious Basterds? [See I ask this any time someone tries to figure out what I am doing. I usually get a "No." or a "No, but I really wanted to! I heard it was ________.] But if you did see the movie, then you obviously know who the Bear Jew is. And if you have heard of the Bear Jew, then you should have heard about the site I made. Bear Jew Facts.

It's kinda like Chuck Norris facts, but way better. The Bear Jew did an amazing thing, but I won't spoil it for you. And because of this, Bear Jew Facts are a hundred times more interesting and funny. Just saying. Now, was I inspired by Chuck Norris facts? Hell no. Ever heard of Zachary Quinto? Well if you haven't, what the hell! The man is a GQMF and deserves to be known! Sorry, nerd tangent there. Back to the point. Zachary Quinto. Well, that lovely site, Tumblr, has awesome sites all over it and one of the awesomest sites you could find would have to be Zach Facts. And that good people of the internet is where I found inspiration for Bear Jew facts.

And that has become pretty successful! I have to admit, really proud of it. Not to mention, we have expanded too. After about month, a new friend of mine, Ingrid from Australia asked if we could make a twitter and since then she has helped the site expand not only to twitter, but to a mysapce and facebook page too! And recently, we both started the Eli Roth Network. It is a work in progress (along with other projects) but we are doing well! It's keeping me busy, giving me something to do outside of just work and school. Not to mention, I've been able to meet more people who share the same appreciation for Eli Roth! Been a fan of his for a while, since I was about 15 or 16, but since then, I haven't really been able to talk about him, no one knew who he was, or if they did, they didn't want to talk. Lame. But now, it's fun! I get to talk about him, his movies, or horror movies in general! Kind of exciting stuff.

Outside of the internet (because life, yes, that rarity, I do try to have one sometimes) I have been doing the general, going to work and heading to class. Hockey season has started, and despite how excited I was, I have only been to one game so far this season. The lack of money coming from only working two days a week, and the Lightning not offering the $20 student tickets any more has put a damper on my hockey festivities. My mom said, the best seats are always at home any way. I told she needs to come to a game before she can say that. Best seat is in the arena. Sometimes, haha, depends on the fans, but despite how insane some Lightning fans are or how rude the opposing team act, I do enjoy being at the Forum with friends watching the game. This season is going to have be a pick and choose season though, can't just go to all the games I can. I'm on budget now.

Something new I am venturing on happens to be something I've been wanting to do since the summer before last, but never acted on it. Lazy? Probably. If I had done it then, I would have more money and wouldn't have to take loan from my Aunt, but that is the past and if one thing pisses me off the most, it has to be wondering "what if" so lets just look at it from this point. Monday night was the recruitment night for the Tampa Bay Derby Darlins! They are the league in the Tampa area for flat track ROLLER DERBY! I saw them at the Red Bull Flugtag when Tampa hosted it and wanted to join. It only took me a year to hop in my car, drive over the bridge and go to a recruitment night. And I'm glad I did, because this should be a lot of fun! Practices start Monday and I'm going to by equipment today after class.

Along with learning to play derby, I need to figure out what my alter ego is going to be. I'm really leaning towards the Wizard of Oz theme, so I have a few ideas that go along with that, but I have other ideas on that list of potential names. You will have to tell me which one(s) you like.
  • Dorothy Wails [but there is a good chance I won’t be able to use it because it sounds to close to a name that is already taken and no one really seems to like it]
  • The HarleyQuinn Kid [because Harley Quinn is my favorite villain from Batman, but since I’m not her, I could be the kid]
  • Dismemberin Dorothy OR
  • Dorothy Dismemberin [I know they are the same, but one may sound better then the other AND I get my real name in there too]
  • Death Proof Butterfly [One of the girls on _bb came up with this and I love Death Proof] OR
  • Death Proof Dorothy [One of the girls on tumblr came up with this combo and I'm kinda liking it!]
  • Null’n Void [Good friend of mine, Will, thought this one up for me and it works since my last name is Null]
And that good people is all I have to say for now. I know it has been a while, and for me to say I'm going to try and come on here and write more is an empty promise. If I write, I write, because I need to do it more. Till the next time, I of course leave you with this:

Despite my lack of going to games, I still love hockey. Don't question my commitment to sparkle motion.

Remember that project?

I went to class last Tuesday and of course had fun! Strange topics were thrown around but fun none the less. And though we have a class of eleven people, we ran out of time, and I didn't get to present my song. Now, even though it was a great idea for a song, after I left class, I figured I should take the project a bit more serious. And because of that, I need to find a new song. What to pick?

And on that note, I would like to leave you with something I found on my tumblr.

Time of My Life?

I started school last week! So lets hope that strikes some creativity in me to write more. I've already finished my first "project" and the only reason why I put that in quotes is because sure it can be considered a project, but I don't consider it a project. Whatever you call it, it was interesting.

Our teacher asked us to either find a song that involves an ethical issue we support or choose the song you want played at you funeral. I ended up picking one for both, but decided on the funeral song because of my approach.

I had some trouble at first, trying to figure out which route to take on this project. On one hand, I could pick a serious song or I could choose one that made light of the situation. I even had two songs picked out depending on the mood I was in when I finally sat down to write this. I had originally decided to pick a song that discussed an issue that everyone was familiar with, some even directly effected by. But I decided against it because the only way I had been effected was what I heard about in the news. So I took the alternate route, which also turned out to be the humors approach.

I’m generally a happy person and I would like to be remembered as such. Even though a sad or melancholy song might be the more accepted choice at a funeral, being the kind of person that I am, it’s my choice. The last thing I want at my funeral is people to be upset. The time is already going to difficult so why not break it all up with a song that was popular in a movie that came out the year I was born. Before I made this choice, I made sure to ask a couple people how they would feel if they were at my funeral and heard this. Everyone said they would get a huge laugh out of it.

Again it’s very unconventional, but it works. I could say it’s funny, but someone might argue otherwise, but then again, if it’s played at my funeral, I’m not really going to care and honestly they’re going to have to get over it. Things tend to be taken to seriously in the first place, and sure there are moments when the situation needs to be taken as such. But if a laugh can be had in the process or in the darkest situations a little light can be shed, would prefer those over everyone crying and being up in arms.

But what song did I choose...

I Promise.

Finally got to see this. Last day at the Beach Theatre too. Really liked it! So many people were saying how great it is and how amazing and real both John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph were as a couple. They were right. Don't blame me for taking so long to see it. I've wanted to since I heard Tuna was making it. Why? Because I have a bit of a crush on the Tuna.

Tried to steal the poster outside the theater, but they are selling them at some point. When, they do not know, but they will be sold. And I need to keep my ears open about when now.

This Isn't A Love Story.

I love this movie now. It is absolutely bitter sweet. And the soundtrack is magical. Haha, well, I take that magical bit back, but it is all I have been listening to lately. I love listening to new music, so this is like a mix that someone did knowing I would dig it. And indeed I do.

The Beauties of Florida Weather

Tonight was a pretty cool night over in my area. Well, not that cool, it was actually pretty humid and hot out, not the kind of weather that one would really enjoy being out in. But I had to take my aunts' dogs out for a walk and I got witness some of the coolest effects of a storm. No rain, no thunder really, just LIGHTNING! Now you are probably asking what kind of intelligent person goes out in a lightning storm. Well, first I'm not that intelligent, haha (my brother would agree with that) but let's just say even though I know better, I also figured it wasn't bed enough for me to really worry about getting struck by lightning. And because I decided to be a little stupid I was lucky enough to get some of shots of this very cool weather.

Glad to be back to the theater.

That is the one thing I have found to be the best part of having money now is being able to go to the movies. Sure I went to a couple movies when I was unemployed but other people had to pay for me so now that I am making my own money I can pay for my self! So since I have been working this is what I have seen...

STAR TREK

THE HANGOVER

DRAG ME TO HELL

It's not much with how many movies that have been out, but I plan on seeing more movies this week. There is a theater over in Largo that does $1 movies during the week so I'm thinking bout going and seeing something else. Not sure what though. Maybe I will go see the Hangover again (totally worth seeing multiple times).

What to name her?

I need to get a better picture of her, but she is my newest nifty find this week! A friend of mine told me about her and how the owners were having trouble finding her a home (if they couldn't find her one, they were going to have to take her to the pound). When my mom heard this, she said "yes, yes, yes" which prompted me to call Lauren and give her a heads up as to where this cute little grey ball of fluff will have a new home.

Picked her up this afternoon, she was a little up set about having to leave her mom, but she hasn't cried since we got home. She's is just kinda chilling in my room under my dresser. Hopefully she will get used to it all, it's a lot. Also have to make sure she gets along with our other cat, Clementine.

My creation

Now to the most important part. Naming her! I have a few ideas, but would love to hear if any one has any other ideas. The list so far is Atreyu (from the Never Ending Story), Beatrix or Kiddo (both from Kill Bill), Angela (my brothers pick, from the Office, since Angela loves cats), and Nubian (from Chasing Amy).

Let me know what you think bout those names and if you have any suggestions, let me know, because on the note I end with the newest song I downloaded on itunes (heard it on the local radio station).

?

Special Nifty Find today! But you will have to wait to see what it is! Try and guess though! Here is a hint:

Eat It! It's good for you!

SoulPancake
Week two of NiftyFinds! Never heard of SoulPancake till one, Rainn Wilson talked about it on his twitter and then I stumbled upon it with that nifty new button I have on my web browser. And I don't know how they did it, but they brought me to the one page that I could really use.

"You will know that forgiveness has begun when you recall those who hurt you and feel the power to wish them well."—Lewis B. Smedes

Now what exactly is SoulPancake? I could explain this, sure, but I would like to give the floor to co-creator Mr. Rainn Wilson.

What is SoulPancake? Well, it’s more of a mission than a Web site...

We want to make discussions about Spirituality, Creativity, and Philosophy cool again. Were they ever cool? I have no idea. But it seems like a good idea. We want to engage the user to “Chew on Life’s Big Questions”™. (I was kidding about the ™ symbol; you can use that phrase however you want. Even to sell frozen taquitos.) Where do you go on the Interwebs if you want an irreverent, fun, and profound take on God and Art and the Soul and Faith and Beauty? Fox.com? Maybe. But maybe also here at SoulPancake.com.

We provide some rockin’ content (interviews, blogs, challenges, contests, features, and more), but it’s really all about having YOU—the SoulPancake community—bring this site to life. Say what’s on your mind. Be real. Talk about WHY WE’RE HERE. And if I say something that offends you, let me have it.

Just remember: Life is a rich, weird, difficult experience. So join us as we go on the spiritual and artistic journey that is SoulPancake.

Because I love the word zeitgeist!

To improve upon this blog here, I want to try and do a weekly post full of nifty finds. Maybe that is what i will call it, Nifty Finds!I know I've been tagging it as "check it" but that doesn't flow to well with me personality (well it does, but only when I'm feeling like a thug on that particular day), but a nifty find seems more like something I would say on a regular basis.

Zeitgeist kind of inspired this new trend I am starting on here. I've heard the word before on 43things but I have never used it in normal conversation (it's really not one you would hear much either and for some odd reason I just thought about it and that was my inspiration! Went a Googled what it really means and found a couple things that gave me new clue as to what it did mean till I found Wikipedia, in which I was given this:
"Zeitgeist" refers to the ethos of an identified group of people, that expresses a particular world view which is prevalent at a particular period of socio-cultural progression.
Yeah, I picked the definition that would be most likely heard in one of my mass communication classes. So I also give you this:
The word zeitgeist describes the intellectual, cultural, ethical and political climate, ambience and morals of an era (similar to the English word "mainstream") or also a trend. In German, the word has more layers of meaning than the English translation, including the fact that Zeitgeist can only be observed for past events.
Now that I know what it means, and with this new found inspiration I figured I could do my cultural duty and add to ever growing zeitgeist of this ever growing blogging era! I don't know if every week I will have some new find for each category I can think of, but I will assure you, every week I will have something (including, as usual a new youtube video).

For the love of Strawberries!
Being that I have found a new fondness in cooking, I have been stumbling through out the internet trying to find new recipes and things to try. And not to long ago I came across this one site that was strictly strawberries and the different recipes that you can use to include them in a meal! Oh, I seriously can't wait to try some of these. I know the strawberry season is over (at least I think it is), so not sure if now would be the best time to try the recipes, but eh, if I see some in the grocery store I'll make sure to pick some up and let you know what I decided to try!

Photos from L to R: Ice Cream Shake with Vodka [you might have to use an Italian to English translator for this one, since the entire blog is in Italian], Chocolate Dipped, Strawberry shortstack, Strawberries and Cream Stuffed French Toast.

Rule no. 1, In my van it's rush, all rush all the time no exceptions.
See now I have heard about this movie for a while now, I'm thinking since I first saw Clerks 2 (which would be sometime around 2006 whenever the DVD came out) and have been wanting to see this since then. Except for one issue, it never came out. I heard it was out for maybe week? But then I saw it on a list of new releases and realized I needed to rent it. So since I got to babysit last Sunday and got some money finally I made sure to go to Blockbuster to pick it up.

Watched it yesterday once at my house and then again with Amber, Leilani, and Katie too. We were going to stop by the drive-in to see Star Trek again out there but since it rained most of the night, we couldn't really do that. So instead we went to the Olive Garden and then back to Amber's to watch Fanboys. Now, I know we all liked the movie, like a lot, haha, not so much a lot, because "a lot" doesn't cut it. But Leilani and Katie were both snorting and laughing at the same time and Leilani basically lost her shit through out the movie. Maybe it's because were nerds, but the movie was fucking hilarious and full of familiar characters. It's already on my list of movies to buy once I start making money again.

And speaking of making money, I FOUND A JOB! Only took two months, haha, but yeah I finally found something. It's only on the weekends, but like I said it's something and I will be making money. I need to find something to do during the week now, but at least I will be doing something!

Well, I hate making such long posts, but at least now I have started Nifty Finds, I will be able to just start it without having to go into to much explanation like I had to here.

This new obsession.

Wow, I actually had a life today! Went to the grocery store with Jen, hung out with Nhung down at Baywalk and then went to the baseball game. Even though I woke up at 3:30 I feel like I have had pretty productive day. Not that my days haven't been "productive" I do things all day (all of my day, haha my day ends around the time most people are in their second or third rim cycle of sleep). My days of late have consisted of filling out job applications or sending in my resume to places, recently I have started playing Mafia Wars on Facebook (don't know why though since I have ignored every request people send me for that, I'm usually not to into playing those kinds of things, since they get so addicting, but my brother pressured me into joining his "family" haha and now that is what I play). While I play that, I have started watching HEROES!

Never seen the show before, never really wanted to either, till Zachary Quinto. Yeah, I went to go see Star Trek with my mom (she was so excited when I told her I would. She told me my dad used to come over when they were dating to watch the original TV series, so me wanting to go with her to see the movie was reminiscent of her younger years). At first, I had only wanted to go see the movie because the man was gonna be in it. Yes, I am talking about Mr. Simon Pegg, who gets to play Scotty. Then I had heard Mr. Sexy Bright Blue Eyes himself, Chris Pine was going to be in it, as Kirk and was definitely pumped up to see it. About half way through the movie though I turned to my mom (who talked through out the ENTIRE movie pointing out references from the show and "that didn't happen in the original series" moments) and told her I think I really like this. Wasn't lying, haha, I walked out of that theater actually liking Star Trek. I never watched it before (the original series), but I heard some of the references and knew a little bit. My best friends dad growing up was in love with Star Trek, and always tried to corner us into either hearing about it or watching it, which made us not like it at all. Never saw the movies, only watched some of the newer versions of the TV shows, but that was because my parents watched them, and if I was in the living room (and most of the time I HAD TO stay in the living room) and that was what they wanted to watch, then I had to watch it too.

So going into this film, I didn't know how I would feel coming out of it. But, I am so ready for a sequel. Haha, not only that, but I have a new male obsession, and that is aimed at Mr. Zachary Quinto a.k.a Spock. A couple friends of mine agree, but only like him that way as Spock (haha something about those ears). But the man is talented and so adorable! I'm in love with him. I had a crush on Chris Pine, still kinda do; I've known about him since he did Princess Diaries 2 and I am really happy for him that he is gonna be way more recognizable after this, he is such a talented actor, rent Smokin Aces. The fact that he can go from smooth and cute to dirty and vulgar is talent and I can only see him becoming more popular after this role, but I digress, that crush is still there but I am way more focused on Zachary Quinto now. And because of that, I have started watching the show Heroes.

The same thing happened with John Krasinski. Saw him in License to Wed, fell in love with that boy from Boston and have become a huge fan of the Office now. So much a fan that I have neglected my original Thursday night show, Grey's Anatomy just so I can watch the Office. No worries Grey's Anatomy, I will be back, when the 5th season comes out on dvd, I will be there to gather you up and take you home to witness the countless hours that I have missed (you'll notice when I do that because all I will be doing is talking about that show, haha, or I will be M.I.A for longer then I normally am).

Another thing that I have been obsessing over is Franz Ferdinands latest album, Tonight. Ugh, I heard about it when it first came out and I bought the first song released from it, Ulysses. But, I'm a lametard and I just got the entire thing and it is pure fun! A toe tapping, sing-along, consisting of straight forward lyrics or at times lyrics with subliminal meanings (still trying to figure out is Ulysses is about the Greek story or the Civil War general/18th President). Is that a subliminal message or is that something else? It's probably something else, haha, but what is it called? Aaahhhh! Eh, any way, I love it! I have been listening to it on repeat or in between waiting for Heroes to load.
Favorite Songs from Tonight that I listen to first sometimes before listening to the whole album all the way though:
1. Ulysses
3. No You Girls
5. Twilight Omens
Those are just the three songs I suggest to buy (if you just do single songs) first to kinda get a feel for what the album consists of. There really is only one slowish song on there, but it's cute, and even though it is simple, I still listen to it without feeling distracted (some albums make me scratch my head and wonder if they actually thought about what exactly they were putting on it).

[Note: Listening to the album again since I started this post. Haha I'm trying to find a Zach picture, but I keep getting distracted.]

This was my distraction...

And on that note, I leave you with another new found fascination (not so much an obsession)...

I can't just pick 5!

Don't know if anyone has seen the newest thing on Facebook, but it seems like the latest time waster it the PickFive application. I saw a friend use it one day, and then I started using it, and then like a domino effect, more and more of my friends started to use it too. I've done some that were answered in all seriousness, while others were chosen to see if anyone would have a chuckle at the tings I picked.

So, I decided to compile the Top 5 of my PickeFive lists, and here is what I have for you...

Those are my favorite ones I've done so far. I've done a few movie ones, so I tried to stay away from including those on this list. But today I tried to make do the PickFive for movies that came out the year you were born, and that one was really hard. I know good movies come out every year, but I was looking at the ones that came out in 87 and there were so many good ones. It's funny, how those are no consider classics, some even cult classics, kind of makes me feel old. Haha, I'm only turning 22 and I feel old. Any way, I figured I would come on here and share a few of my favorite movies that came out the year I was born.

Which one's can you point out? And which ones are your favorites?

Operation Complete!

Ok, I think I like it know. Is it to dark do you think (I could try a different background that brings a little more light to the page)? Or do ya'll like it as it is? Let me know what you think. But I'm thinking this is what it's gonna be for a while.

Operation Ultra Penta Dino Alligator Tot Epidemic How Bout No

Look at that title, how strange is that? I wanted something cool and that was what I came up with. Really, it's just Operation U.P.D.A.T.E How Bout No, but I'm feeling this new mission name is cooler then just saying update.

Well, what you see is all I have so far. The other night when I tried to download Photoshop I failed. Well, not me per say, Photoshop failed, it wouldn't open. So now I'm trying to download it as a torrent. If that is not successful, I'm gonna down grade to Corel and attempt to do more with Operation U.P.D.A.T.E. I'm kinda enjoying the wood background, but would still like to do something else with it, and of course, even though I am keeping the picture, I would like that to get updated too.

Tell the next update, I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday, and I leave you with this delightful spoof.

Change is in the air.

So for some reason I have gotten tried of reading those Twilight fanfics (well not really, but the one I started to read is really annoying now). I have also gotten tired at looking at the layout I have right now for this blog, I'm never really happy about the new background, but the change can usually hold me over till the next time I get an urge to have something new.

On that note, I am deciding to do an over haul on this blog. Combine tags so I don't have as many (seriously, do I need to mention every movie I put on one of my movie lists in the tags), make the side bar more organized (if any one knows how to do a three column page, I would love to hear from you) and of course the look. I need something that goes along with that picture I already have (that really is the only thing I want to keep, haha, that is the one thing I always love about this blog). I can't do to many changes though, I tried a new template for like three seconds until I realized that things were overlapping and the movie trailers weren't fitting.

I can't have someone else do it, I have to much pride when it comes to my creativity, so I am downloading a temporary version of photoshop (oh how I wish I could really own it, I LOVE photoshop) and will be working out that late into the night.

While it is downloading, I am going dabble in cooking again and read up on some HTML and other need to know basics so I can make this blog better!

Wish me luck!

Smashing the classics...

I came across something today that had me in hysterics. I was watching the "mashups" on youtube (what is a "mashup" well those are the fake trailer's people have done, either taking scenes from one movie and putting it to a trailer for another movie). The first one I saw was cute, funny, but I was not laughing as hard as I was with the third one I watched. So I give you first, the one that had me rolling on the floor (not really, if I had done that my computer would be thrown on the floor and suffered because of it).

Watchmen: World Police
It really doesn't get funny till the end. If you have seen Team America, then you should find it hysterical!

These are the one's I watched the I actually fancied and figured I would share. I would warn about the ones that aren't done well, but these ones that follow were done with care and deserve to be watched. Enjoy!

How to Be Review

So now to the review of the film (bare with me because I have never really done an actual movie review before. You would think that since I love movies the way I do that I would have at least once, but I really haven't.)

Did I like it? Absolutely! It was really well done, and the story is something that I think any one can relate too. The film follows Art (Robert Pattinson) and his small adventures in trying to solve his problems and patch up his life. The movie starts out after his girlfriend breaks-up with him and kicks him out of their place. Art ends up moving back into his parents place, which only opens up even more problems for Art. His parents are more involved with themselves and their work, rather then their son, which makes Art's journey more difficult. Were quickly introduced to his two friends Ronny (Johnny White) and Nikki (Mike Pearce), two completely different personalities that end up adding color to this dark comedy. After Art tries to talk to his friends about his issues in hopes of finding some solutions and only finding more issues to add on to the already growing ones, he turns to a self help book by Canadian author Dr. Levi Ellington (Powell Jones). After reading the book, Art finds himself in the position to contact the author for more advice and help. Dr. Ellington decides that his presence is needed and Art pays for Dr. Ellington to fly to London. When the Doctor arrives, he tries to help Art, but all it ends up doing is making matters worse.

Ok, now I know that wasn't the review. That was me attempting to write a summary with out giving away to much, how'd I do? Well, now that you now what the movie was about, here's me opinion.

The movie reminded me of Amelie in certain ways. Even though How to Be is more on the opposite spectrum of someone trying to find themselves compared to Amelie, but I can still see similarities, in not just the two movies, but in the cinematography too. It may seem like an out there theory, but both characters are trying to find themselves, one is doing this by helping others, while Art is trying to do this with the people around him. Each of the quirky characters' has their short, unique introduction into why they are the way they are (wait till you see Ronnie's). Amelie had similar style when introducing characters with the things in life that gave them joy and the things they hated. And in how the two share similar effects in the actual look of the film, How to Be had great effects with color tints, which I really liked (the opening sequence, along with the first time Art drives the Camaro). Those shots just had me thinking of Amelie after I saw them (maybe not exactly, because I can't remember there ever being a scene from Amelie like those ones).

I could probably go further with my whole Amelie comparison, but I feel like I'm writing more of a paper for school rather then a review. And I have more respect for a movie, like How to Be, to be talking about some other movie. WOW! I should not right reviews. Haha.

Let's talk about the movie its' self. I thought it was really well written and very well done. Like I said earlier, I really liked the use of color and the way the scenes were shot when revealing the pasts of the other characters. The pacing of the movie was also really well done, I didn't feel like I had been sitting there watching a movie. I don't know how else to say it, because well done and good don't just cut it for how much I really liked this movie! Uh, I really wish I could write a better review (this is also why I tend to not write them), but I to much respect for this movie to not write about it. I really want to get more people out there to see it, especially after meeting the guys (who worked very hard to make this), I think more people SHOULD give it a chance.

I knew I was going to have to talk about this at some point, because he is the reason why the movie is getting so much attention now as it is, but Robert Pattinson, was pretty great as Art. He was relatable and it seemed like it came very easy for him to portray such a distraught character (I wouldn't say he was so much depresed, but just unsure and frustrated with his life so far, if he was really depresed, well that is just another positive about the movie, because it didn't come across that way). The other reason Pattinson did such a great job with this character also has to do with his supporting cast. From the two friends, Ronnie and Nikki, to his perverse, mindless parents, and the optimistic but foolish Dr. Ellington. Each of these actors brings so much to the table when portraying these very unqie characters and with them, along with Pattinson, and how well done Oliver Irving did with writing and directing the film makes for one amazing movie that should be seen! Not all great movies need to have huge budgets or star studded casts. Even if Pattinson wasn't as big as he is right now, I still believe that movie should be seen!

And I'm hoping you guys go see it! I know it's coming out on Demand this month so to get more information on where to watch check out the offical website!

I don't know if I did the film any justice with this "review" (I don't even know if calling this a review is the right thing either) but I tried. Like I said I enjoyed the movie to much not to say something, so if you understood or even enjoyed my attempt to talk about this film give it a chance and let me know what you thought!

I did something a little crazy!

I decided to nominate this little blog for the Bloggers Choice Awards. Now I know I have no chance of winning (there are so many other amazing blogs out there that are far more better and deserve to win) but I thought it might be a simple way to get my blog out into the world more. I am really trying, I'm just taking baby steps, I've never really wanted to put this out there, but I am having more fun writing here that I kinda want to be able to share it with more people! So, for the few who read this blog, if you have the time, I nominated the blog for a couple categories, and I'd love it if I could walk away from the awards with more then one vote (from me, haha). If you can, THANKS, and if you can't, I totally understand you guys are busy, I love you any way for even coming on here and reading! So THANKS!
My site was nominated for Best Blog About Stuff! My site was nominated for Best Hobby Blog!

And so I leave you on this note, it may be a sad one, but I'm trying to pull your heart strings so you can go vote for me (hahaha, let me know if it works)...

Bahaha totally been thinking this already!

It was funny back in high school, and even now, I would joke about how Forever 21 needs to come up with a plus size line now and call it Forever 22. Haha, people thought it was a pretty good idea and now...they seem to be coming out with a plus size line now called...

Yeah, true fact! May 1st is when it officially launches, so for you more full figured ladies out there (including me) we now have a new line to look forward too! So check out Faith 22 (even though it kinda sounds like a new church or something that has to do with religion, haha).

You wanna see something really scary?

I came home from hanging out at the beach and the mall. After I finished trying to eat my crap dinner, I turned on the TV and found one of the best movies ever! I remember watching it as a kid sometimes, even getting to watch the original bits from the TV show were always fun to watch. If you don't know what it is that I am talking about, I'm speaking of the Twilight Zone the movie. I always like watching it whenever it's on TV (not sure if it's out on DVD). This is one of the scariest bits from the TV show, kinda scared the crap out of me as a kid too:

Yeah, remember that scene from the Matrix, yeah, totally ripped it off from this movie. The other really scary, but AWESOME bit of this movie is the Nightmare at 20000 Feet. John Lithgow did such a great job reinventing the role that William Shatner created.

I kinda enjoy the 80's version over the original. The creature is way more scarier (and I was gripping the chair with how freaked out I was when he shook his finger), look at John Lithgow, the man really is at the top of his game right here (maybe this isn't the best example, but he still did a remarkable job), and of course the ending is awesome. Totally goes full circle with Dan Aykroyd back in. "Want to see something really scary?"

"...I Love Credence."

Let's go back.

I decided to go back and start reading snippets from my previous blogs and the one thing I miss is how short I kept them. Did you see how long my last one was? Not that it needed to be short (I was talking about a two day road trip and all the shenanigans I got into with my friends) but it was still really long. So I'm gonna try and go back to my previous blog style. Oh, and continue to talk about movies! I know the last one was about a movie, but the ones before that really weren't so definitely need to start that back again!

And on that note, I bring you this! I'm sure you have seen it, but I get SO excited watching this!

I don't know what it is about the trailer, but I am just to excited to finally see this. I think it has a lot to do with that it is bringing me back to my childhood and the music they choose for the trailer (if you can tell me what the music is I think I would love you).

Choking on Dust

I know I still need to write about the road trip I took a couple weeks ago to Georgia and South Carolina, but I just got back from another little road trip that needs to be blogged about in case any one who reads this wants to go see this film! A few of my friends had gone and seen this little indie flick over a month ago up in Alabama called How To Be. Since they got back, all they talked about was how funny the movie ended up being and that overall it was a great movie. So it was great to hear that the film was going on tour with some of the cast and the director/writer and fortunately we got lucky and they would be making two stops in the SUNSHINE STATE!

Last Friday, I was supposed to meet up at Amber's by 5, but since traffic was pretty bad and I left the house late (had to print out my receipt for my ticket and then print out the wrong directions, haha, I'll explain that) I didn't get to her place till 20 after. We ended up taking my car, so we tried our best to avoid traffic going to pick up Leilani at her house. After we picked her up, my car was packed, with Amber, Katie, and Jen in the back seat, Leilani as DJ/Navigator/Passenger, and me driving like I stole it or at least trying to. Not an easy thing to do with traffic being backed up and people trying to kill us. We eventually got on the road a little after 7, not good for us since it takes about an hour and half to drive to Deland (for me it does). It sucked, why did it have to be in Deland? If it had been in Orlando, we could have made it on time, but since it was outside of Orlando we were definitely gonna be late. Once we got to the exit, I made the wrong turn (the directions forgot to mention if it was A or B of that exit), so we turned around, started heading the right direction. Now here is where it get's exciting/dangerous/funny/me being stupid. The road ended up being only one lane and we got stuck behind a semi truck, so upon request, and since it was clear I tried to go around the semi. Were coming out a curve so he was going very slow and figured I could pull a fast one and get around him since he was going so slow. So i checked to make sure no one was coming, it was clear so I pulled around, going as fast I could, but a car had turned on the same road so I had to speed up just to make it now. With in those maybe 5 seconds I had Leilani screaming uncontrollably (freaking me out), and beyond her screaming I don't know what the three people in the back were doing. Hahahaha, it really is funny to think about now, especially hearing what was going in the back seat and what they were thinking. Any way, I reved my engine a the last second (maybe not) and got past the semi and without hitting the other car. (And thinking bout it, I had a back up plan, I figured if the car was to close I would slow back down and get back behind the semi.)

Haha, any way, we finally made it to the area. Except the directions I had printed out were wrong. Instead of checking the address after I Googled the theater; I just figured it would be the right one after I Googled Athens Theatre Deland, FL, I mean seriously, how many Athens Theatres could there be in that one little red neck town? Well, apparently, there are more then one (at least to Google there is) and we were directed to the wrong one. But luckily, the actual theater was only a couple blocks away, and we finally made it to the theater only an hour into the film.

So we ran up the steps (and by passed the bathrooms) to go up to the balcony to finish watching the last 20 minutes of the film. And even though the last 20 minutes were good, I still wanted to be able to see ALL of it. Any way, the lights came up and we were introduced to Johnny (played Ronnie), Mike (played Nick), Joe (composer), and Oliver (director/writer). The Q&A began and so did the Rob questions (so annoying), but a few people actually asked some pretty good questions, while there were a hand full that left me scratching my head, wanting to punch that person for asking it (Was this a fluff film or did you actually make it to have a point?).

After the Q&A, the guys stayed around to meet everyone (at least as many people as they could) and answer questions. But there was quite a crowd waiting for them, so we decided we would just wait till things calmed down, and make fun of the the TwiMoms we saw and who ever else we could think to laugh at for the way they were acting. But, after a while, the guys had to leave and not everyone was able to get to meet them, including my friend Katie who was cock blocked by a few of the women there. Which was bullshit! So we left and started driving back towards the west coast, but made a stop in Orlando to get a bite to eat a Denny's. Had some funny with Leilani in the parking lot, hahaha. Once we let her in the car, we got back on the interstate and headed home.

The next day I woke up around 12:30 so I could leave on time and get to Amber's without being late. And, luckily I got there only a minute late! But after we picked up Leilani, we didn't get on the road till 3. But, the phrase of the day for me to get there in time was "Drive Like You Stole It." And it worked! It was a 4 and half hour drive up to Tallahassee, so not being able to get on the road by 2 sucked, but since I did end up driving like I stole it we ended up making it to FSU in just enough time, 15 minutes to spare! So we got in, picked out our seats and I got to enjoy the entire move!

After the movie was over, the guys came back out to do a Q&A with the crowd and luckily this time, no one asked about Robert Pattinson! Some really interesting questions were asked, nothing ridiculous like from the previous night. And since there weren't a whole lot of people surrounding the guys tonight, we were able to get up and talk to them, get pictures and such. It got a little annoying because I line started forming in front of me just to talk Mike, while the other guys were just kinda standing around, so I politely asked if I could move past that line so I could talk to Johnnie and Joe. Amber and I talked to them for a bit (Leilani said we were getting daggers behind us the entire time, haha, whatever I'm a friendly person who can talk to any one) and they were really interesting! Ended up talking about coming up to see the movie twice, how we only caught the last 20 minutes the previous night, road trips, Val, how great Florida can be (but how insane the heat is in the summer), and other random stuff. Really cool guys. Amber and I got our tickets from the Deland show signed and got a couple pictures with them too. After talking to them we went and talked to Oliver for a bit. I kinda thought I made a dork out of myself so my steam for being able to talk to any one went away pretty quickly, hahaha. I tried to explain how the film reminded me of Amelie, but I just ended up confusing myself and probably confusing him too. (Once I finish writing my review of the movie, I'll have a real explanation of my Amelie comparison. Because I really thought about it after I got home, and I'm sticking by what I came up with.)

When we left FSU, we went and filled up my tank, headed to the BK Lounge to get a bite to eat and then back on the long road home. But it was funny how the drive back seemed shorter then the drive up to Tally. I didn't even drive as fast as I had going up to Tally, but it still seemed way shorter. We even ended up getting home earlier then we did the other night. But both nights were still a whole lot of fun!

So if you get a chance to see How To Be take the chance and go and see it! It's a really great movie, with a very talented cast. They deserve the credit for making such a great movie with having tons of people going to see it! I know it is getting ready to go be on Demand, so if you can't make it to see it at a theater, you'll be able to watch it at home. And then I believe it will be coming out on DVD sometime in August. If you have any other questions, where to check the movie out, to find out where you can watch it when it comes out on Demand you can check out the official website for How To Be.

Two Days Down and Only One to Go...

Well not really. I had two more days, but since I only had four more stores to go to and they were all local I decided I would get them all in one day! It sucked that Hannah wasn't able to go with me to these last few stores. She had work the basketball tournament that was going on over in Tampa, and I don't blame her, she ended banking after her four days of working the tournament. So after I dropped her after our second day of the treasure hunt, I kept her passport with me so I could go around to the stores and still get it stamped. Then I thought it would be fun to ask my mom if she would like to come with me to these last four stores and we could kinda have a mother/daughter day! She was for it, but the day before she had to say "We'll see if it happens or not." Come on! Why wouldn't it happen? Any way, I proved to her that I still like to hang out with her and we can have fun!

Mom wanted to go by here first, so before we went in we walked up to Publix to get a bite to eat. I had to buy Mom some Girl Scout cookies since I ate hers so I ended up buying some from the little stand that was set up in front of the grocery store. Once we got our food, we started walking back to the store so we could start our adventure! Now, it's a little hard to not have preference when it comes to Whim-So-Doodle and how much I love the store. It's the store I always go to when I need new scrapbooking supplies or want to browse the recently stocked aisles of paper. So we both browsed today, I tried to stay under a budget, but still looking for anything cute! Mom wanted something specific for her students to make for St. Patrick's Day. We picked up our Take'N'Makes and she was nice enough to make sure Hannah's passport was stamped too. $8.57

Took us a little longer then needed to get to the next store, even though it was really close by, but mom always says she is just taking the scenic route, even though she really is just lost. Finally got to the store, mom continued to look for her St. Patrick's embellishments, while I just browsed the store's aisles. I had heard about this store for a while too, but I just never got the chance to head out their old location, and even when I found out it had moved, I still never remembered to head that way and check the store out. So, I'm pretty sure I'll be making rounds to this store more, maybe after I check out Whim-So-Doodle one day, just hope on Central and drive down to Scrapbooking in Paradise! $10.00

Once we left St. Pete we made our way up to Largo. This is another store that I had even driven by years ago and thought about stopping in and seeing what they had. I never did though and for a good reason. It's not that it was a bad store, it was still nice and plenty to offer, but it seemed a little expensive for what they had, and it was disapointing to not see a whole lot. They did have a pretty large stamp area, but since I'm not really into stamping as much I guess I didn't really like it to much. The people who ran the store were very polite and nice, so I think I would still go back if I was in the area or needed more of a selection of supplies rather then going to a craft store. $7.29

After this store, we decided we would get a bite to eat at a local resteraunt that we used to go to a lot when I went to school up in the area. It had been a while since we had eatin there, so it was kinda nice to be there after so long.

Once we left the resteraunt we kinda had to hurry to get up to Palm Harbor before the last store closed. I was a little worried, because I didn't think lunch would have taken so long, but we beat traffic, a couple wrong turns, and we finally made it. Got to talk to an old friend of mine from high school! I hadn't talked to her since she graduated, so it was a lot of fun getting to chat up with her and talk about what we had been up to latley. Ended up spending to much time in the store, but we weren't the only ones. Ruban Rouge was another really nice store, which is why I ended up taking so much time! It was huge and had OH SO much to look at and consider! I seriously can't wait to be able to go back up there and shop around for a bit! Such a GREAT store! $9.00

Now let's break all this down! Over a three day span, I spent $16 on gas (Hannah paid for half and mom did all the driving on the third day), only spent maybe $15 on food, and even though I was only supposed to spend at least $60 I ended up spending a grand total of...$101.54. Yeah, I was only supposed to spend between $60 and $70, yet I spend this much! So in total I ended up spending $132.54, eh, take that back, $142.54 (I forgot the $10 I had to pay to sign up). Wow, laying it all out like that really puts how much I spent into perspective. Haha, but it was still fun and I will probably do it next year.

Hannah already said that she would like to, so I'm sure we will, but maybe will get a couple more people to join us and it will be even more of an adventure!

PS...the contests are over and unfortunately I didn't win anything, haha.

And this makes me want to go on a drastic diet!

I can't remember where I found this blog, but it has to be the funniest, grossest blog I have ever seen. The pictures on here just plain ridiculous, but supposedly people actually consume (or attempt to consume) all this food. Some of the food is just disgusting to imagine even being made, but some of it is pretty funny.

Deep Fried Cadbury Egg

The Thunderdome
Three stacks of bacon, sausage, elk meat, onions and cheese between tortillas all topped with sour cream, two fried eggs and scallions.

I tried to stay away from the ones that make you go "YUCK" or "EEEEWWWWWW" because there are a few on there that do that. And some that make you scratch your head and wonder who actually concocted such nastiness.

But I am bringing this up because I know everyone has seen those nasty looking meals that you would never try or hear about those outrageous snacks you hear about when you got to the fair (fried Snickers and Twinkies) and since This Is Why Your Fat is getting a book deal (CONGRATS!) I wanted to let you guys know about it! You can submit pictures of strange food concoctions that you have come across and it could get published! It sorta reminds me of Post Secret or Found books, so if you want your chance to be a part of this unique collection head on over TIWYF to read up on how to submit YOUR pictures!

Taco Town Taco
Saturday Night Live-inspired: crunchy beef taco with nacho cheese, lettuce, tomato and southwestern sauce wrapped in a soft flour tortilla with a layer of refried beans in between, then wrapped in a corn tortilla with a layer of Monterey Jack cheese in a deep fried gordita shell with guacamole sauce baked in a corn husk topped with pico de gallo, wrapped in a crepe, filled with egg, griere cheese, sausage and portobello mushrooms, all wrapped in a chicago-style deep dish pizza wrapped in a blueberry pancake and finally deep fried with spicy vegetarian chili dipping sauce.

Aaarrrrrr you serious! They got ice cream sangwhices!

Day two of three of the Tampa Bay Scrapbook Treasure Hunt! Hours were a little different today since it was Sunday, but we started our day off as early as we could, heading up to Hannah's apartment before going to any of the stores, but it seemed to work out since two of the stores were practically down the road from where she lives! We were a little late with our schedule since it took us a few u-turns to finally find the first store! Couldn't find the side street because there really was no sign to be seen from the road (it was behind a tree), but we got there with a little patience, a mix I had made the night before, and of course Hannah's GPS on her phone.

Once we finally found the store, went in a started shopping! I knew I had to be careful today though since I totally went over my budget from yesterday. So I limited my self from buying a bunch of paper, to just one or two pieces, and a couple embellishments that I could find for a project. Hannah was mainly shopping for a friend who just had a baby, but I ended up picking up whatever I caught my eye. And this store had plenty of little things to pick-up, plus tons of paper! Oh, the tons of paper they had. Hannah is pretty lucky to have such a nice store close to her. She'll be able to get more into this whole scrap booking thing. $5.17

Even though we spent a little to much time in the first store, we got pretty lucky since the second store we needed to go to was only a couple minutes away. We were a little skeptical about where we were headed, but I decided to keep moving forward, and we finally found the store tucked into a big plaza off of Dale Mabry. Really cute idea to have a combination store, both for scrap booking and sewing. Definitely need to bring my mom back to this store. It was really cute, not a whole lot to the scrapbook section, but then again it was a small store, so it was split down the middle. I even was lucky and found some Wizard of Oz material! $7.66

So while we were in the last store I made sure to stick to our time limit because we had to drive all the way up tp Hudson for our next stop. I had a really good plan to get all the stores that were really to far of a drive for us done first. So even though traffic got a little bad once church was getting out, but I hurried us up to Hudson since Hannah had be back in St. Pete by 4 today, so she could get to work on time (she was really late yesterday). The entire drive up to the Northen part of the county I was thinking of a way to get to at least four stores today, and I came to the conclusion that if we only spent 10 minutes in the next store we would be able to make to one more store for the day. I promised Hannah we would be back in Pinellas County either by 3:30 or at a store close enough to our houses so she could be home on time (she didn't think I could do it). $6.99

Got to the third store pretty quickly, so we were all excited to get in and out and on our way. Till we got in the store and realized how small it was! It wasn't a bad store, not like the last one we went to the day before, but REALLY small, and not a whole lot to really choose from. I mean I tried, but I actually had some trouble picking out what all I wanted. Hannah wasn't able to spend $5 worth, and they wouldn't let us combine our totals. Lame.

As soon as we got out of the last store, I booked it down Veterans. At the last minute, I changed my mind and decided instead of heading to Palm Harbor we would go check out a store I had heard about before over on Westshore Blvd. So, I got off Veterans to get on Westshore and continued to book it till we found the store. And once we parked and got inside, the first thing I noticed was the fact that they had hockey paper! And not only did they have hockey paper, but the had LIGHTNING paper! How lame is it for me to be getting all excited over paper, hahaha. The store was really cute too, and BIG! I've heard about the store for a while now, I just never remembered to go and check it out while I was in Tampa. But I think after visiting this store, I have a new store to check out every now and then! Not to mention, before we left we got some delicious ice cream sangwiches! $10.60
