can you only trust the music now a days?

This is week has been very chill. Boring at points, but chill none the less. And that's not always a bad thing, some weeks you overly consumed with things to do or finish and it can get stressful, while other weeks end up SO boring that your struggling for something, anything really to live rather just exsist. If that explanation was at all confusing, I apologize now. I tend to just kinda talk and usually end up confusing not just you, but myself too. Kinda funny sometimes, most other times, just kinda sad. I recently found a new cd I HAVE to finish buying tomorrow. I bought a couple songs off of it on iTunes, but I need to buy the whole thing. The sound is totally up my alley when it comes to the music I love to listen too. It's a melting pot of some pretty amazing talents, the most recognizable and favorite of the bunch would be mister Ben Gibbard [of Death Cab for Cutie fame]. There are plenty of other musicians on there that many would recognize, and from the couple songs I bought and the other one I have heard before, I'm really excited to listen to the rest of it.

Have you ever wanted to listen to a certain cound so badly, that when you finally find it, that it consumes you? That is what I think will happen to me for this album. So, really excited here to buy it. WOW. I'm going on and on about this amazing new release, yet I have yet to drop a name. Dark was the Night. I put the widget on my other blog, but I'm gonna put it here too. But when you buy the album, the money will go to The Red Hot Orginization which is the leading international orginization dedicated to fighting AIDS. The album was is two discs, so if you buy it on iTunes it's only $15.99, or you can buy it stores or on Amazon. If you buy it on iTunes though it's not DRM free or something, which some people have a problem with [click here to read more about Apple and DRM free music]. But I have been told if you go to the Amazon MP3 store, that you won't have that problem, and I just looked, it's only $11.99 there.

Here's the track list for both discs:

recently found material...

A few days ago I with my friends in the car and we were listening to the new Lonely Isalnd cd. And stupid me was like oh I've heard about these guys, and then I start listening to a couple of there songs and I have definently not just heard about them, but I've listend to there shit before too. I ended up buying the cd on itunes and was listening to it again, and I was suprised at how many songs I have heard before. Some might say that I'm slow, but I would say I heard about them a while ago and just didn't know they came out with a cd.

This week seemed like a fun week of finding new things. Early in the week I went on Craigslist to check out the missed connections [I wanted to show a friend what is was] and we found one that had to have been the funniest, made up missed connection ever. If you can't read the picture below, here's a link to read about the pregnant stripper.

I figured since this is such a random post, I would at least talk about my new shirt I had made yesterday. Since it was Valentine's day and there was a hockey game last night I really wanted to have a tshirt made for the occasion. So I thought of what it would like and what it would have on it and I went down to the Tshirt Diner at the mall so I could get it made. The girl was really helpful and she helped me get my shirt done for the game that night. No one at the game really said anything, Lauren thought it was cute. I will probably end up wearing it a few more times. I don't know how well the ink will hold up.

Fun week. Busy week too. Hopefully next week will allow for more findings and such. Maybe not. Who knows?

it's because of this...

or maybe not...i'm wishing everyone a very happy valentines day on this very lovey Saturday!

I was supposed to go to Epcot with my mom today because today is also her 56th birthday. But since I didn't get home till 1:30 because I had to babysit, she said I didn't have to go. Which I was actually really happy about. For a few different reasons, the first, I was gonna drive the two hours to Orlando so I could leave early enough to make it back to the game tonight, and gas is going back up so I was to happy about that.

Second, money, along with gas, tickets, other costs to be at a Disney park, along with the game tonight, I would have spent a shit load of money in one day, and I really hate doing that.

The last, and most important reason...it's EPCOT. No one likes going to Epcot! Even in school we hated going there for field trips and we weren't even in school! Any other park would have done and I would have no problem going, but Epcot?

So instead, I am actually getting stuff done today. Cleaning, doing laundry, and a few other errands I need to get done. Still going to the game tonight, so we shall see how the Lightning do against the Capitals.

So everyone, have a safe and happy valentine's day, if you are with someone, wear protection, and if you are single, bring protection just in case. I'm leaving you all with this...

is this real life?

I thought this was absolutely hilarious. I found it on Giggle Sugar today while watching the kids and I could not stop laughing. The kids even thought it was funny [only because of how I was laughing though]. I don't ever remember being this drugged up from the dentist and the only time I was, I was 16 at the time and so drugged up from getting my wisdom teeth taken out that I couldn't keep my head up and was druling all over myself. Don't know what is funnier, me druling on myself or this kid. I'm going with the kid.

i'm concerned...

I'm catching up on the Flight of the Conchords and I'm a just the tad bit concerned now. It's only the second episode and this is what they are singing about...

Sure it's funny, but huh...

Another concern of mine that I have been wondering about has to do with a certain beloved movie creature/friend. E.T. has been on the movie channels a bit and every time I watch I start to wonder how E.T. can run so fast with his little nubby legs and giant clown feet? [Sorry that's really random, but it was just a thought.]
